Chinese Embassy Counsellor Visits ZPC to Strengthen Port Cooperation

The Counsellor of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Tanzania, responsible for Zanzibar affairs, visited the Zanzibar Ports Corporation (ZPC) and held discussions with the Director General of ZPC, Mr. Akif Ali Khamis.

The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation between Zanzibar and China in the port sector, particularly in port infrastructure development, logistics and transportation, capacity building, and the exchange of experience and modern technologies aimed at improving the efficiency of port services.

The visit reflects the commitment of both sides to advancing strategic cooperation that will contribute to the development of Zanzibar’s port sector and further promote the growth of the Zanzibar economy.
